What does pharmacy billing software do?
It lets a medical store bill medicines with the correct GST, keeps stock by batch and expiry date, records purchases from suppliers and tracks what is owed to them. Ekansh also links the pharmacy to a hospital's doctors.
Does Ekansh handle GST for medicines?
Yes. Invoices calculate CGST and SGST for in-state sales or IGST for out-of-state sales, with round-off, from the GST rate set on each product.
How does expiry management work?
Every batch is stored with its expiry date. Sales draw from the batch that expires first, so older stock moves before it expires.
Can I use it for a standalone medical store?
Yes. The pharmacy module works on its own for retail medical stores, and connects to Ekansh HMIS when the pharmacy is inside a hospital.
Does it support Schedule H1 medicines?
Yes. Schedule H1 and X medicines require a prescription reference at the time of sale.
