What is pathology lab software?
Pathology lab software, often called a LIMS (laboratory information management system), manages a lab's work from test booking to the final report: patient details, test catalog, result entry, reference ranges, verification, report printing and billing.
Can I use Ekansh for a standalone diagnostic lab?
Yes. The lab module works on its own for independent pathology labs and collection centres, and connects to Ekansh HMIS when the lab is inside a hospital.
Does it calculate CBC indices and LDL automatically?
Yes. Calculated parameters such as MCV, MCH, MCHC, absolute counts, VLDL and LDL fill in automatically as you enter results, with a visible formula marker so your team knows which values are calculated.
Can I change the reference ranges?
Yes. You can edit a range on a single report or save it as your lab's default, and ranges can differ by gender and, for hormones such as FSH and LH, by cycle phase.
Can reports be shared on WhatsApp?
Yes. A verified report can be shared with the patient or the referring doctor on WhatsApp, and every printed report carries a QR code for verification.
